One, Product Introduction
QJ-01 Type Hydroxyl Iron Oxide Desulfurizer, it is mainly composed of hydroxyl iron oxide, and add special additives to form the cylindrical strip desulfurizer. The surface of hydroxyl iron oxide forms rich point defects and surface hydroxyl groups, beneficial to increasing its surface area and active crystal surface, beneficial for the diffusion and reaction of H2S in the bulk, improving desulfurization activity and sulfur capacity.
The main characteristics of this desulfurizer: fast desulfurization speed, large sulfur capacity, high precision, good water resistance, no need for oxygen supplementation during desulfurization process, efficient desulfurization under saturated water conditions, suitable for any concentration of CO2 gas, and the desulfurization agent has a single penetration sulfur capacity of over 30%, which has the advantages of high sulfur capacity and high desulfurization precision. Mainly used for the removal of H2S containing gases such as natural gas, oilfield natural gas, coalbed methane, biogas, etc.

Three,Chemical Reaction
H2S decomposes into HS - and S2- ions in the reaction medium, then the lattice oxygen (OH -, O2-) in the hydroxyl iron oxide is exchanged with each other to generate Fe2S3 and water.

Four,Operating condition
Temperature: Normal temperature, preferably between 20ºC and 40ºC.
Air velocity:(1) normal pressure:200~500/hour
(2) Increase pressure:500~1000/hour
Pressure:normal to 3MPa
High diameter ratio: Above 3
Purge gas: Allow up to 5000mgs/Nm3 of H2S, if high desulfurization precision is required, multi-stage desulfurization can be used.
Moisture content: Moisture acts as a medium in the desulfurization process, and both dry and wet raw gas can affect the desulfurization efficiency, it is recommended that the water content in the gas should not exceed saturation under operating temperature conditions. It is strictly prohibited to contain liquid in the original gas of the process, block the micropores of the desulfurization agent, and seriously damage its strength.
PH: Maintaining desulfurizer PH 8-9 is beneficial for desulfurization.
Regeneration: The temperature is between 30ºC~60ºC, the maximum temperature cannot exceed 80 ºC.

Five,Use of desulfurizer
1,Equipment
The ratio of height to diameter of the desulfurization tower should be greater than 3.0 to ensure appropriate line speed, and the desulfurization bed is generally divided into two layers. In order to improve the utilization rate of desulfurization, two desulfurization towers should generally be configured. The configuration of valves and pipelines should be convenient for series and parallel switching operations.
  1. Filling method
(1)Dust needs to be removed before filling: No residual waste desulfurizer dust is allowed inside the desulfurization tower. When filling, it is not allowed to fall more than 0.5 meters freely, and people are not allowed to step on the desulfurizer. When people must enter the furnace to fill, wooden boards should be placed on the desulfurizer.
(2)Lay a layer of approximately 80mm thick φ15-20 mm ceramic balls on the grid plate of the desulfurization tower, place two layers of metal wire mesh with mesh holes less than 4mm on the ceramic ball, and install desulfurizer on top. After filling, place another layer of metal wire mesh on the desulfurizer and press it with the ceramic ball to prevent gas from blowing away the desulfurizer.
3,Startup procedure
(1)The desulfurization agent dust blowing and system replacement blowing gas can be air or feed gas. If the raw gas replacement system for air needs to be used, the replacement is considered qualified after the outlet gas has the same composition as the imported gas.
(2)Increase pressure: In the pressurization system, gradually increase the pressure by 0.1Mpa every two minutes until the operating pressure is reached. After the pressure increase is completed, start production at half load for about 1-2 hours to adjust the pressure and flow rate. After the operation is stable, gradually increase the load and switch to normal production.
(3)Regeneration
When the H2S in the gas at the outlet of the desulfurization tower exceeds the standard, the boiler will be shut down for regeneration.
Regeneration step:
(1)Cut off the raw gas and close the inlet valve,Gradually reduce the pressure inside the tower to normal pressure at a rate of 0.1Mpa every 2 minutes, and finally close the outlet valve to isolate the desulfurization tower from the production system.
(2)Open the tower top vent valve.
(3)Open the tower bottom inlet plate (or open the inlet valve for regeneration), allow the desulfurizer to slowly regenerate under natural ventilation conditions, to accelerate the regeneration speed, compressed air is introduced, but it is necessary to control the tower temperature, which should not exceed 60 ºC and the maximum temperature should not exceed 80 ºC, otherwise sulfur sublimation and spontaneous combustion will occur, causing damage to the desulfurizer and its equipment. the standard for the end of regeneration is that the bed temperature does not rise and the oxygen content at the inlet and outlet is basically equal.
(4)Temporary Stop: close the inlet and outlet valves and keep the pressure unchanged, if the system leaks, the original gas must be used to keep pressure to prevent negative pressure in the system.
Stop by replacing the desulfurizer: it can be treated according to the regeneration steps. Then remove it.
Six, Note
1,The strength of the new desulfurizer is low and should be handled with care, when filling high desulfurization towers in layers, it is advisable to use 2-3 meters per layer, do not increase the pressure too quickly during use, otherwise stress will cause the desulfurizer to pulverize, It is strictly prohibited to soak desulfurizers in water, as it may cause damage to strength.
2,The desulfurization tower should have at least two temperature detection points for easy observation of temperature during regeneration, Once the temperature is too high, immediate measures should be taken to avoid damaging the desulfurizer and equipment.
3,The desulfurizer can be replaced completely at once depending on the specific situation, or can be replaced in layers according to the airflow direction.
